Serving as that constituency's working conference, and the governing and coordinating authority for the Committee's network of university, college, and high school chapters, the YDDMCC is tasked with registering first-time voters, engaging the electorate on local matters and campaigns, aiding local candidates and causes, and advising Committee leadership and internal organs on its constituency's perspectives, so as to better inform national strategy and programming.Role Overview & Responsibilities Reporting to the Executive Director - YDDMCC, and in their absence, the Vice Chair - Outreach & Political Affairs, the role of Deputy Executive Director - (YDDMCC - University & College Programming) shall be called upon to serve as Chief Executive Officer and Programming Director for the Conference's higher education division, working with Committee and Conference-wide leadership to maximize the utility, effectiveness, and efficiency of the initiative, administrate daily management, assist in maintaining and furthering the initiative's fiscal stability and longevity, manage staff and other resources, and, given the Inaugural nature of the role, assist in the establishment of initial organizational scaffolding and infrastructure.Performing outreach to establish relationships with Democrats within the initiative's target age bracket (18-30), and recruiting those with leadership capabilities to establish chartered chapters of the YDDMCC via presences on university and college campuses across the country.Monitoring, coordinating initiative-wide resources for, and serving as a point of contact for, established chapters and their leadership.Ruling and issuing guidance on points of conflict and inquiry for chapters, in line with the initiative's charter and operational standards.Overseeing, managing, and coordinating staff resources allotted to the initiative.Maintaining familiarity with the initiative's needs, and advocating for resources to cater to said needs within the context of internal appropriations discussions.Participating in, and facilitating, fundraising opportunities and contributor networks, in coordination with Committee and Conference-wide organizational development and finance staff, in order to maintain and extend the initiative's fiscal longevity and stability.Assisting in the creation of initiative standards, strategy, and the establishment of Inaugural infrastructure, in coordination with Committee and Conference-wide staff.Serving as the organization's managerial point of contact for purposes of media inquiry and public requests for information.Role Requirements : At least three (3) years of experience at the level of Senior Vice President, Assistant Executive Director, or their organizational equivalents, with particular preference given to experience garnered via positions within political or policy focused organizations.Comfort and familiarity with leading, recruiting, and managing a team and other organizational resources.Comfort and familiarity with fundraising and cultivating contributor networks, or with otherwise maintaining the fiscal health of an entity.Previous experience with promulgating and cultivating large networks of partner organizations committed to a similar goal.The ability to communicate complex topics and ideas effectively and succinctly.Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Political Science, Government, Policy, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Non-Profit Administration, or similar fields, as issued by an accredited institution of higher learning.Previous experience with media and press preferred, but not required.Compensation : The position of "Deputy Executive Director - (YDDMCC - University & College Programming)" shall be classified as a Tier I Scheduled Role, and is therefore entitled to salaried negotiation within the range of $90,000-$110,000 per annum. All full-time permanent employees shall be entitled to comprehensive benefit insurance beginning September 31, 2025. Employer provided subsidies for privately procured policies within the gap period are available.Role Location : The role shall be considered "remote encouraged", and may be fulfilled from any location of the incumbent's choosing.
