Qualifications:
- DCF 45 Hours State Mandated training-required and will be discussed
- Previous teaching position within a preschool is preferred.
- Classroom management and child development knowledge
- Certification or degree related to early childhood, preschool or elementary education is desirable, but not mandatory.
- First aid, CPR and BBP certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in educational activities.
- Support classroom management by supervising children and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to children, supporting them in whatever way necessary.
- Utilize child development knowledge to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles.
- A nurturing demeanor with the ability to engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
- Background in education is a plus, enhancing the ability to cater to all students.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
