Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations

Role summary:

• The Mobile Coatings Journeyman Painter will perform routine and preventative maintenance painting duties and a full range of specialized painting projects including painting large structures in corrosive environments.
• Assists Foreman, Journeyman, or Technician without direct supervision and has mastered 4 or more skills/crafts (abrasive
• blast, brush/roll, hand/power tool surface prep, pressure wash, spray coatings, set up/operate equipment)

Roles:

• Project Mobilization (Journeyman may lead this effort on small projects)
• Assists foreman in planning for project needs (material/equipment/supplies/manpower/schedule)
• Fulfilling load list and setting up on jobsite
• Project Execution
• Safely performing/executing work within craft/skill set
• Developing craft/skill set as determined by foreman
• Project Completion
• Assist in equipment breakdown, load, and demobilize
• Assist foreman in reporting quality issues, near misses, good catches, and CI ideas

Responsibilities:

• Report to project or shop on time and ready to work with proper PPE
• Perform duties as directed by foremen for entire work day as defined by foreman
• Weekly
• Enter near misses, safety suggestions, CI ideas, quality good catches, etc. into Production Forms link
• Keep our shop maintained, swept up, and store equipment in designated location
• Monthly
• Refer friends/family/acquaintances at your discretion with all business units (monthly reminder in our Monday meetings)
• Quarterly recommend any maintenance needs on equipment/facilities
• Annually manage Nix Gear bucks & PTO-gain approval ahead of time, enter into T Sheets, use or roll over
• Provide feedback on your co-workers annual reviews

Expectations:

• Uphold all company Core Values
• Work with your Foreman/Operations Manager to develop at least 1-2 skills
• If you see something, say something in terms of SAFETY
• Contribute to continuous improvement by entering into Production Forms link weekly (1-2/week)
• Has mastered at least 4 or more crafts/skills

Requirements:● 5 years of industrial paint/coatings experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
