SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting integrations with third parties, by utilizing common integration platforms in transportation.
SCOPE
This position is responsible for the setup, testing, deployment, and maintenance of EDI integrations with third parties. This position is also responsible for evaluating and testing API and Data integration flows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrations are completed on time, on budget and within scope.
- Proven experience of staying up to date on, and incorporating, emerging technologies, standards and trends.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
EDI
- Collect the EDI specification from the trading partner.
- Setup the EDI communication and templates.
- Complete testing of EDI flow with the trading partner.
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure EDI integration meets the operational needs.
- Coordinate go live with trading partner and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor the health of completed EDI integrations.
- Escalate issues, determine root cause, and deploy corrective actions.
API
- Review of API documentation to ensure scope of project can be met.
- Establish data flows and ensure the API can meet the requirements.
- Provide documentation to the development team to develop the integration.
- Test the integration and document bugs.
MISC INTEGRATIONS
- Scope out other integrations using other methods like flat file transfer, 3rd party connectors, etc.
- Provide documentation to the development team to develop the integration.

- Ability to scrub data to maintain data quality.
TOOLS
- ANSI X12 EDI Standards
- API testing tools (i.e. Postman, SoapUI, etc.).
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
MINIMUM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology-based discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in EDI setup, testing and deployment, leveraging ANSI X12 standards. Experience with EDI 204, 214, 210, 990, and 997 transaction sets preferred.
- Strong Knowledge and ability in MSSQL databases and queries.
- Strong knowledge and ability to digest API documentation and determine integration flows.
- Knowledge and experience with flat file transfers, data mapping and cleansing.
