Here are the main responsibilities:
In your role as Data Scientist, you will work closely with experienced colleagues on (open) AI projects. These projects are mainly carried out in the Microsoft Azure Cloud;
You will also work closely with your customers to study the data, collect business requirements and constraints and translate them into data requirements;
Defining data requirements, performing data collection & data preparation are core tasks, as well as as analyzing and reporting on data quality are among your responsibilities;
You translate business issues into a machine learning or AI context, with corresponding model selections, feature engineering, etc. You are able to convert the most relevant state-of-the-art knowledge in the AI world to specific use cases;
You develop applications of computer vision, generative AI, OpenAI, NLP, time series analysis, regression/classification, clustering, simulation, optimization and summarization techniques;
The objective assessment of model performance and chosen approach is central. In relatable situations, you apply the known explainable AI techniques to further substantiate and explain the model performance.
You create interactive visualizations to improve data-driven decision making.
Finally, you support the presales team with the development of proposals for innovative AI projects.
Requirements :
At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within consultancy.
You have a passion for continuous self-development. You are updated with the latest developments in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and you keep up with new technologies such as Azure OpenAI.
You have knowledge of analytical programming languages such as python and R and you can handle libraries such as pandas, numpy, pyspark, scikit-learn, keras or tensorflow.
You are familiar with programming environments such as jupyter notebooks or visual studio and version control systems such as git.
You have a good mix of statistical knowledge, programming skills and business focus.
Microsoft Azure and/ or Databricks certifications are a plus.
You have strong problem-solving skills and can quickly tackle complex technical challenges.
You are a team player with excellent communication skills and can work effectively with colleagues and customers.
You have a good command of English.
