About The Company

Our client is a well-established Payment Service Provider (PSP) with over 100 team members, serving a global client base across high-risk sectors. Known for its reliability, scalability, and client-centric solutions, the company is now looking for a Head of Performance to take charge of its commercial engine and drive business growth through effective management of Sales, Account Management, and Support functions.

About The Role

The Head of Performance will play a critical role in aligning commercial teams with the company’s growth goals. This is a strategic and operational leadership role with direct responsibility for revenue, merchant satisfaction, and process efficiency. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the payments industry, a portfolio of high-risk clients, and a strong track record in sales or account leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the performance of Sales, Account Management, and Support departments.
  • Set clear KPIs and performance goals for each function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify gaps and implement scalable processes that improve team output and customer satisfaction.
  • Personally handle key merchant relationships and lead high-impact commercial negotiations.
  • Act as a playing coach: lead from the front, support the team in deals, and attend key events and conferences.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on commercial strategy and growth planning.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in the payments industry, ideally within a PSP or acquirer.
  • Proven background in managing Sales and/or Account Management teams.
  • Existing portfolio or strong network of high-risk merchants is a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial mindset, analytical thinking, and execution capability.
  • Ability to lead teams while being hands-on and directly contributing to results.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English and Russian; additional languages are a plus.
