Position Overview We are seeking a DatabaseService Architect with our Hybrid Cloud Platforms area to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure hybrid cloud database solutions.
This role requires a blend of expertise in both modern cloud-based systems and legacy databases like Oracle and SQL Server. Additionally, the candidate will play a pivotal role in maturing our internally developed database administration tools, ensuring they meet evolving business and technical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Design hybrid cloud database solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, on-premises).
Manage Legacy Systems: Ensure seamless integration and optimization of legacy database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Product Owner: Act as Product owner of Aeven database services and underlying supporting tools, driving its evolution and ensuring it meets operational and client requirements
Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure Teams to ensure integration, automation, and continuous improvement of hybrid database environments.
Monitor and Optimize database performance, security, and cost across both cloud and legacy systems.
Stay Updated on the latest database and cloud technologies, security risks, and compliance standards to support best practices.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 10 years of experience in database architecture, with a focus on both cloud and legacy systems.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong experience with legacy database technologies like Oracle and SQL Server.
Knowledge of modern database systems (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
Experience in database migration strategies and hybrid cloud integration.
Familiarity with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and CI/CD processes.
Compliance Knowledge: Experience working in highly regulated industries such as finance or pharma
Operational Models: Experience with different delivery models, ITIL, Agile
Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
