Role Overview

As an Innovation Program Manager, you will lead and optimize ATLANT 3D’s innovation lifecycle - spanning R&D, Engineering, and Applications teams, as well as customer pilot programs and cross-functional innovation initiatives. Your role is critical in ensuring process standardization, structured project execution, and seamless technology transfer while managing intellectual property (IP) to secure ATLANT 3D’s competitive edge.


You will work closely with the VP of Technology and senior leadership to align innovation pipelines with strategic goals, ensuring ATLANT 3D remains at the forefront of atomic-scale manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

1. Innovation Process Management

  • Develop and standardize structured innovation workflows, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability across R&D, Engineering, and Applications teams.
  • Implement methodologies for prototyping, testing, and project execution, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Drive skills training, competency development, and knowledge-sharing to enhance structured innovation within technical teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, tool development, and best practices adoption.


2. Portfolio & Program Management

  • Oversee the technology and innovation portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Implement portfolio governance practices for product development steering, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure success, optimize resource allocation, and ensure high-impact innovation investments.
  • Work closely with senior leadership (VP of Technology, CEO, etc.) to report portfolio progress, key outcomes, and resource needs.


3. Project & IP Management

  • Lead project execution across R&D, Engineering, and Applications teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Integrate IP management into project workflows, ensuring prototypes and innovations are documented, protected, and leveraged for competitive advantage.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and structured problem-solving to improve project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Implement processes to identify, evaluate, and protect IP opportunities, coordinating with legal teams and external partners.


4. Technology Transfer & Pilot Programs

  • Oversee the transition of R&D innovations into scalable applications, pilot programs, and commercial projects.
  • Manage technology transfer programs, ensuring smooth transitions from concept validation to commercial implementation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute high-impact technology transfers aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure IP protection and commercialization strategies are embedded within the technology transfer process.
  • Collaborate with customers and external partners to align pilot programs with market requirements, delivering high-value outcomes.


Must-Have Qualifications

✅ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Innovation Management, Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field.

âś… Experience: 5 years in innovation program management, technology portfolio oversight, and structured project execution.

âś… Expertise in:

  • Process standardization, technology transfer, and cross-functional program management.
  • Project execution from concept validation to commercialization.
  • IP management, ensuring proper documentation, protection, and utilization of innovations.
  • Project management methodologies such as Agile, Stage-Gate, Lean, or hybrid approaches.
  • Data-driven decision-making, risk assessment, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, capable of aligning diverse teams and stakeholders.


Good-to-Have Qualifications

🌟 Experience in technology R&D transfer and industrial product commercialization.

🌟 Proven track record in managing pilot programs, validating and scaling innovative applications.

🌟 Familiarity with digital transformation tools, automation frameworks, and AI-enhanced workflows.

🌟 Understanding of business enablement strategies, innovation frameworks, and methodologies.

🌟 Exposure to emerging technology trends, such as advanced manufacturing, automation, AI-driven innovation, and space manufacturing applications.
