Sanctions Screening Analyst

About the role
We are looking to hire a Sanctions Screening Analyst in Singapore, to join our growing international Sanctions team. You will report to the Sanctions Team Lead.

We are the first line of defense for sanctions risk management, and you will be part of the team conducting Level 1 & 2 Payment Sanctions Screening alert reviews. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and handling sanctions alerts, requesting further payment information internally and externally and/or escalating potential true matches for further investigation or guidance.

What you will be doing

• Investigating potential matches and actioning as appropriate
• Managing caseload to ensure payments are processed within SLAs
• Identifying and recommending process and procedural enhancements
• Working with our Data Science teams to continuously improve our systems
• Monitoring regulatory developments and industry best practice
• Maintaining procedures and working instructions to ensure adequacy

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a relevant educational background, and you are familiar with global AML and sanctions rules and regulations. Furthermore, you have at least 3 years of experience with Payment sanctions screening and alert management.

You have an interest in and knowledge of sanctions legislations, and you are able to review and understand payment flows, while always having a good attention to details. Also, you possess sound organizational and communication skills.
