Lead Tax Operations in a Global Organization

At Blue Water Shipping, we are seeking a Senior Manager to lead and drive our global tax agenda. You will report to the VP of Finance, Treasury & Tax and focus on corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing.

Your Key Responsibilities
As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance and advising senior management on tax-related risks. Your main responsibilities will include:

Corporate Tax, VAT & Compliance

• Take ownership of all tax-related matters for companies included in the joint Danish taxation scheme, ensuring compliance with Danish tax regulations.
• Provide oversight and guidance on tax and VAT matters for international subsidiaries, working with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure compliance.
• Manage tax audits and liaise with Danish tax authorities to address compliance and risk mitigation.
• Assist in preparing tax returns, VAT reports and coordinating with external advisors.
• Monitor changes in Danish and international tax regulations and ensure proper implementation.

Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Transactions

• Ensure compliance with OECD transfer pricing guidelines and local requirements.
• Manage the groups transfer pricing documentation, including benchmarking and economic analyses.
• Advice on intercompany transactions, restructurings, and M&A activities from a tax perspective.
• Collaborate with business units and finance teams to ensure tax-efficient business structures.

Governance & Process Optimization

• Strengthen the Tax Control Framework, ensuring tax governance and process efficiency.
• Drive automation and efficiency improvements in tax compliance, reporting, and documentation.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.
• Work closely with Group Finance & Controlling to align tax policies with financial reporting and compliance.

Your Profile: Experienced Finance or Tax Specialist with a Strategic Mindset
We are looking for a proactive and analytical finance or tax professional with a strong business focus and the ability to navigate complex tax landscapes. To succeed in this role, you have:

• A master’s degree in tax, finance, accounting, or law (e.g., Cand.Merc.Aud, Cand.Merc, HD, or equivalent).
• 5 years of experience in finance, corporate tax, VAT international tax, or transfer pricing.
• A solid understanding or curiosity of international tax frameworks, transfer pricing, and tax risk management.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex tax issues in a clear and business-oriented manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, BW, and familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
