About the Role
Are you passionate about quality assurance and eager to make a global impact? Chr. Olesen is seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Manager to lead our quality assurance processes across our international entities in Denmark, Europe, Brazil and Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading company in the international Food and Feed ingredients industry and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
As the QA Manager, you will be based in Denmark and will oversee the QA processes across our international operations. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing our commitment to quality and safety, ensuring compliance with industry relevant standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The QA department is responsible for the feed and food area, and you will collaborate with the QA team to uphold our high standards of quality and safety for the ingredients and additives we distribute. Chr. Olesen is ISO9001-2015 certified and operates under several relevant certifications, including FAMI-QS and FCA Ovocom.
As a QA Manager at Chr. Olesen Group, you will head the QA Team in Denmark and supervise the QA teams in other countries to ensure that our products and suppliers meet the highest quality standards. You will lead the strategic development of QA processes alongside our operational management.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to ensure team members are motivated and equipped to meet their goals.
Supplier and Product Approval: Manage the approval process of international suppliers and food products, including requisitioning and approving certificates and necessary documentation.
Certification Management: Oversee the operation and implementation of requirements related to our certifications, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Strategic Direction: Set strategic direction for the QA area and certifications according to business needs, aligning QA initiatives with company goals.
Quality Management System: Manage our quality management system and product database, including digitizing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Analytical Monitoring: Monitor and verify analytical results within QA processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Project Management: Lead various projects, such as adapting to new legislation or certifications, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments across a global value chain, identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Act as a sparring partner for colleagues in management and shipping/logistics departments, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving.
Audits and Compliance: Perform internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Complaint and Deviation Handling: Manage complaints and deviations, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement.
Department Development: Play a central role in the ongoing development of the QA department, contributing to strategic planning and innovation.

Key Skills for Success:
We are looking for a profile with a strong passion for their work and enjoyment in handling a wide range of tasks to support the Chr. Olesen business. The ideal candidate will have:
Scientific Academic Background: Preferably a master-degree in food and/or feed science, food/feed technology, chemical engineering, or similar.
QA Experience: At least 5 years of experience in QA, preferably having completed an internal QA management development program or similar.
People Skills: Preferably 2-3 years of experience as a tem leader or manager.
Structured Approach: A systematic method for managing tasks and delivering high-quality work while maintaining an overview.
Quick Learner: Ability to swiftly adapt to new IT systems.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in Danish and English, with additional language skills being a plus (Spanish, German, etc.).
Cross-Cultural Communication: Understanding of and ability to navigate cross-cultural teamwork.
