Group Reporting Specialist

POSTED ON 5/2/2025 AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/11/2025
COWI Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark Full Time

Do you want to be a part of a healthy and solid group finance organization with aspirations? Can you bridge between accounting theory and how to apply in practice? Are you a bit of a wizard when it comes to numbers and telling the story behind? Then, this is the place to create the solutions the world needs today to enable a better tomorrow.

Create solutions to enable a better tomorrow.

We are seeking a Senior Group Reporting Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Lyngby. In this role, you will be part of the Group Reporting team, a group function responsible for consolidating monthly financials from 50 reporting entities within the global COWI Group. As part of the team, you will provide financial reporting and insight to COWI's top management as well as to external stakeholders. You will work closely with your colleagues in the Group Reporting team and finance colleagues globally, reporting directly to the VP of Group Reporting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Translating the Danish Financial Statements Act (ÅRL) and IFRS interpretations into COWI accounting policies, as well as continuously maintaining and developing these policies and training material.
  • Actively engaged in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process and collaborating with external auditors.
  • Acting as subject-matter expert on technical accounting questions and collaborating with your colleagues globally to apply the accounting theory in addressing COWI specific accounting issues.
  • Preparing financial presentations and reports to top management, telling the story behind the COWI group’s financials.
  • Representing the Group Reporting team and participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives across COWI.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.

The key to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting or other relevant education,
  • 5 years of relevant experience,
  • Solid financial management and accounting toolbox,
  • A keen interest to understand and tell the story behind the financials
  • Ability to communicate effortlessly in English.
