Are you interested in contributing to our expanding array of exciting construction projects across Denmark? Can you develop meaningful relationships with those you work with and serve? And are you motivated by being the specialist of exciting infrastructure projects? Then become part of COWI and create solutions of the future with us!

Turn challenges into sustainable solutions.
COWI's infrastructure discipline in Central Jutland is known by high engagement and employee satisfaction, social cohesion and exciting challenges and tasks. We are currently 10 colleagues in the group, located in our Aarhus office, including a student assistant and intern working closely with us.
Our group of engineers is specialised in Bridges and Civil Structures. In close collaboration with other disciplines, we are working on significant, exciting projects such as road-, rail and path installations, and design of bridges and tunnels. We are also working on projects for supply companies, where we design supporting structures and underpasses. The projects we work on vary from smaller structural assessments e.g. for a municipality to larger projects such as the Kalundborg motorway for the Danish Road Directory.
Your key activities will be:

  • Participating in projects from start to finish, including idea and construction programmes, project proposals, authority- and tender projects, execution, delivery and follow-up
  • Playing a role as design/discipline lead on projects, including participating in resource planning and financial composition on the projects you’re involved in
  • Detailed design for a wide variety of structures, such as supporting structures, retaining walls, bridges and tunnels
  • Design of structural elements in concrete and steel both analytical and by using FE-modelling for complex structures
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Coordination of drawing production
  • Encourage and support a high standard of professionalism within the field while serving as a mentor and collaborative partner for colleagues

Your skills. Our team. Together we shape the future.
We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their professionalism and possesses a solid understanding of the market and social dynamics within the community. You possess a firm commitment and are motivated by creating good collaborations - both in your team and with other disciplines, as well as with customers and contractors.
On top of that, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering
  • 5-10 years’ experience with structural engineering
  • Experience working with engineering consultancy
  • Effective teamwork skills that contribute to building robust and professional connections across different fields, both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in English and Danish
