To strengthen our global governance in COWI we are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to develop and maintain a strong framework to ensure financial and legal governance in our foreign branches and selected entities. You will be an integral part of our finance organization, comprising approximately 250 employees who ensure the financial backbone of COWI. The role reports to the CFO of COWI A/S, Malene Axlev, and offers flexibility to work from our Lyngby or Aarhus offices.

In collaboration with specialists in legal, finance, and mobility, you will act as the trusted advisor to key stakeholders and support COWI’s international operations in securing governance structures and compliance. Your work will facilitate the streamlining of financial and legal processes while building effective partnerships across the organization.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Establish and optimize governance structures and compliance for foreign branches.
• Responsible for setting up, running and closing branches and entities.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders within the operation and Business Development as well as external partners. 
• Keep abreast with international standards and regulations within legal, tax and mobility.
• Collaborate with departments such as Group Finance, HR, and Legal to support business operations.
• Facilitate continuous improvements in financial processes and reporting.

On top of that, you will have:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work across teams.
• Strong financial background with experience in external reporting, compliance, and international environments.
• Solid knowledge of legal, financial, and mobility matters related to foreign entities.
• Goal-oriented with strong prioritization skills and adaptability for continuous growth.
• Professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Worked in or closely with the industry or in consultancy.
