Chief and Senior Software Engineer

Danske Bank is seeking talented developers to join our Core Financing Platform tribe as a Chief Software Engineer in the e-Loandata squad and a Senior Software Engineer in the Green Assessment squad.

Core Financing Platform brings together a diverse group of professionals responsible for crafting solutions that facilitate financing in the Nordic markets. The tribe consists of approximately 200 colleagues across Denmark, Lithuania, and India, with these new positions based at our new domicile in København V.

About the Positions
As a Chief Software Engineer in the e-Loandata squad, you will work on systems for loan monitoring and infrastructure for e-nettet, facilitating the exchange of data on loans and redemption information between financial institutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Green Assessment squad, you will contribute to developing and maintaining solutions for reporting on green loans, along with tools used by advisers in the organisation, supporting the assessment of environmental impacts and driving green initiatives.

Salary and working conditions follow the union agreement with Finansforbundet.

Your professional home base will be within the CFP Cloud Chapter DK, providing a sparring network with fellow developers, led by your Chapter Lead. Your everyday work will take place in an agile, cross-functional squad managed by a Product Owner.

Main Tasks Include

Maintain, design, and develop software solutions using a technology stack that includes .NET C#, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microsoft SQL Server (MS-SQL), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), GitHub, and Azure DevOps pipelines. Our systems, currently operating on a private cloud platform, are in the process of migrating to AWS.

Act as system steward, supporting systems from development to managing CI/CD pipelines and mending vulnerabilities, collaborating with teams inside or outside the organisation.

• Engage actively in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, etc.
• Document code changes, perform risk assessments, and handle compliance-related administration.
• Ensure code quality and compliance with technical standards.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring quality, scalability, performance, and availability.
• Drive your tasks and proactively collaborate with colleagues and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute insights at both chapter and tribe levels, collaborate with other developers, and participate actively in working towards common goals.

Your Profile

Experienced .NET C# Developer, with significant experience, likely at least seven years for the Chief role, working with complex applications using SOLID principles (deliberate or de facto) based on e.g. restful APIs (MVC/WebAPI), MQs, automated testing (maybe even Test Driven Development), newer C# language versions, etc. - designing, coding and reviewing.

Open-minded, forthcoming, with experience working in agile environments, and able to work independently while also proactively driving tasks and collaborating with colleagues.

• Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at at least a proficient level is necessary. We provide necessary training to enhance your AWS skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Danish is welcomed but not required.
