Senior Frontend Developer - IMPACT

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Frontend Developer at IMPACT, you will play a crucial role in the development of large E‑commerce projects for some of Scandinavia's largest brands and retailers. From day one, you will experience a high involvement in the development of next-generation E-commerce platforms, contributing to technical execution and decision-making on a distributed team. We expect you to be an expert in turning designs into working deliverables and translating strategy and business needs into solution concepts.

You will work with a tech stack that includes Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js. We usually develop Composable Commerce solutions that require integration with other cloud platforms like CMS, e.g. Umbraco. You will be part of our team in Portugal, working collaboratively with our delivery and engineering teams across Denmark, Sweden, and Serbia.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain e-commerce applications using React/Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.

• Analyse client requests and adapt solutions that fit the technical team and the client's needs.

• Participates in client meetings to clarify technical questions.

• Work collaboratively with the delivery and engineering team to ensure that the solutions produced meet the quality and performance standards expected.

• Work closely with other team members, and fellow developers to turn concepts into scalable, functional interfaces.

• Ensure the quality and performance of the solutions developed.

• Follow and contribute to best practices in frontend development.

• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates to improve code quality.

• Analyse technical requirements and suggest efficient, well-structured solutions.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years of experience developing web-based applications

• At least 3 years of experience working with React / Redux; JavaScript/TypeScript; Node.js and Next.js.

• Working experience with other frontend technologies like HTML and CSS

• Experience with SEO optimisation, semantic markup, and microdata.

• Hands-on experience with website performance optimization.

• Experience working in complex web development projects and/or digital transformation projects.

• Previous experience in breaking down, estimating, refining, and delegating tasks.

• Experience in e-Commerce projects is a nice to have

• Experience in an agency/consultancy environment

• Working experience with Git, GitLab, and JIRA

• Curiosity about technology and ability to advocate for change when needed.

• Familiar with SCRUM processes and used to working agile.

• Open to learning new things and to share knowledge with others.

• Great problem-solving skills, with a solution-focused mindset

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

• Fluent in English, written and spoken
