PRODUCT DEVELOPER – LIGHTING (MATERNITY COVER)

At our office facilities in the heart of Copenhagen, you will become part of an energetic office community, consisting of approx. 6 colleagues looking forward to welcoming you in our team. The position is a maternity cover starting from June, or as soon as possible hereafter and will last for approx. one year.
About the job
As a Product Developer – Lighting at HAY, you will be responsible for and work with creating, maintaining and assisting with the development of 2D documentation that is essential to the production and quality assurance of our lighting products. You will be responsible for communication between the Product development (PD) team, Customer Service (CS), Product Compliance (PC) and Quality (QC) within Denmark as well as Pacific Asia.
Your daily tasks will include:

Secure and assist with the handover of new products to customer service and quality assurance

Liaise with Master Data, taking responsibility for our internal handover of key data packs from PD for all development projects

Creating quality documentation for all our existing and future HAY lighting items.

Prepare 2D packaging die cuts, labels and product safety label artworks

Update and maintain data in smartsheet across the lighting assortment

Update and maintain production documents and surface descriptions for new as well as existing lighting developments

Liaise with product compliance as well as third party labs on testing documentation.

Supporting with some simple 3D development tasks when required

You are passionate, detailed and pragmatic, with an interest in contemporary design

Experience required

You have an undergraduate study or masters in Product Development, Product Documentation, Industrial Design or similar

Other than the day-to-day use of Microsoft Office and smartsheets, you are a competent user of the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

Ideally, you have some basic knowledge of 3D modeling, exporting both 3D and 2D drawings from Solidworks, as well as documenting the quality assurance of physical products

Any prior experience or internship within a product development or product documentation role is a big bonus, especially within decorative lighting design and development, but not essential

You master both Danish and English at a high level, as we are an international company
