We’re looking for a structured and independent Compliance & Financial Controller to join our Finance team and help elevate our supplier oversight and financial governance.

Your role
As Compliance & Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our logistics suppliers meet legal and ethical standards - and that our internal financial reporting and controls are best-in-class. A big portion of your time will be spent on compliance audits and supplier oversight, while the remaining time will be focused on supporting our financial controlling activities.

You will report directly to our Head of Finance and work closely with our Logistics Operations and Fleet Management in Denmark and other European countries. It is expected you can work independently to ensure objective assessments and transparent reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Plan and execute structured audits of logistics suppliers, ensuring compliance with employment terms, tax regulations, and legal registrations.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based audit framework, prioritizing reviews based on exposure and compliance risk.
• Collaborate with Operations and Fleet teams across Europe to gather relevant data, while maintaining independent judgement and objectivity.
• Document audit findings with clear recommendations or escalation paths, and present outcomes to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Support financial controlling tasks, including month-end, supplier cost reporting, and internal financial analysis.
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls related to supplier cost areas.

Your profile
We’re looking for a trustworthy and curious mind who can navigate both numbers and nuanced conversations. You’re detail-oriented and self-driven - comfortable challenging assumptions and managing sensitive topics with professionalism and discretion.

To succeed in this role, you bring both structure and sound judgement. You’re the kind of person who builds credibility quickly, establishes reliable processes, and takes ownership of issues before they become risks. You naturally become a trusted partner to both Finance and Operations through your clarity, consistency, and follow-through.

You will stand out if you bring:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in compliance auditing, financial controlling, or similar.
• A solid grasp of financial reporting and a structured approach to risk and internal controls.
• High integrity and a natural ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
• The confidence to handle challenging discussions and push for continuous improvement.
• Experience with labor law or tax compliance (especially for suppliers) is a plus.
• Comfort working across functions and engaging both field staff and senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, both in Denmark and across Europe.
