Senior UI Designer
SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care.

We're looking for a Senior UI Designer to join the team and guide Subway Surfers future visual style. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design original UI solutions that align with SYBO’s brand vision and player needs. If you have a passion for crafting visually stunning and intuitive designs, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive, engaging UI screens and assets.
• Optimize UI elements to ensure smooth performance across mobile devices, such as iOS and Android.
• Ensure a consistent visual style and tone across all UI elements.
• Create and maintain visual documentation and a style guide for the UI.
• Actively refine and improve existing UI/UX to elevate user engagement and satisfaction, ensuring the product remains cutting-edge and stays user-friendly.
• Stay updated on the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies relevant to mobile gaming.

Your start at SYBO
In your first month
You'll meet the team and learn about what has made Subway Surfers the huge success it is. You’ll be introduced to your team, the tools and get to grips with how we work. You’ll be paired with a mentor who will guide you through your first projects, helping you to feel at home in your new role.

In your first three months
By the end of your third month, you’ll be taking on more impactful responsibilities in the game. Expect to start using your skills to design engaging user interfaces and to contribute to enhancing the game experience. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and refine your designs based on user feedback and analytics. This period is crucial for deepening your understanding of our player base and refining your ability to tailor experiences that captivate and engage them. You’ll begin to familiarize yourself with the visual style of the game, identifying inconsistencies in our visual identity and work with the Art Director to resolve them.

In your first twelve months
During your first year, you’ll make a huge impact on Subway Surfers. You’ll be fully integrated into the team and lead UI initiatives for new events and features in the game. You’ll also assess the effectiveness of your designs in real-world scenarios and use data to optimize player satisfaction and engagement. Your work on the style guide will create a clear and comprehensive visual framework that streamlines the future work process and facilitates collaboration with external studios, ensuring everyone can easily adhere to our visual standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UI Designer in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing work on mobile platforms and or free to play.
• Capable of designing, rendering, and animating high-quality UI elements
• Expertise in graphic design, and digital art tools, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.Proficient in Unity, with a solid understanding of its UI tools and capabilities.
• Proficient in Unity, with a solid understanding of its UI tools and capabilities.
• Excellent skills in performance optimization for UI across multiple platforms.

• Knowledge in conducting User Research and Analysis
