Senior Accountant

About The Position

As a Senior Accountant, you will play an important role by adding value to the team through your knowledge and experience within accounting. The Senior Accountant will be involved in various accounting activities and provide input on ways of optimizing our accounting processes.

You will join the Accounting Team of five and report directly to the Head of Group Accounting, Kent Behrendt Søndergaard. In this role, you will collaborate across departments as well as have a close cooperation with the rest of the finance team. This position offers you the opportunity to work in an international environment in an established company within the renewable energy sector.

The position is based in our new office in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your Key Responsibilites

• Daily accounting for client portfolio
• Actively participate in the entire process of monthly and year-end financial closing
• Preparation of year-end documentation for external audit
• Support the monthly budget follow-up
• Manage incoming and outgoing invoices
• VAT accounting
• Lead by example and act as a mentor for the junior accountants in the team
• Enhance current processes and ways of working through standardization
  
  

About You

• 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Fluency in English and the ability to read in Danish.
• Knowledgeable within VAT and IFRS principles.
• A solution-oriented approach when it comes to problem solving.
• Collaborative and positive with the ability to work across departments as well as with leaders.
• Detail oriented with a structured approach.
• Agile with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
• Solid IT skills within the office package, especially Excel as well as financial systems, preferably Business Central.
