Product Development Manager

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growth journey. Working closely with your colleagues, you will take on product management responsibilities for our screen protection cutting machine solution, Matrix On Demand.

You will join our Global Operations team. We collaborate closely, regardless of geographical distance.

Key responsibilities

You can look forward to a role where you will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production ramp-up, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap. In this position, you will conduct market research, perform competitive analysis, and leverage your understanding of software and product development processes to drive innovation and execution.

You will also take charge of developing and maintaining a rolling 24-month roadmap for assigned categories while collaborating closely with product developers in China, as well as marketing, operations, and supply chain teams, to ensure seamless product development and successful launches.

Your specific duties will include:

• Product Development – Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production ramp-up, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and customer needs.
• Product Strategy – Collaborate on and execute product strategies, maintaining a 24-month roadmap for assigned categories.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and global teams, including China-based developers, to drive development and successful launches.
• Project Management – Manage timelines, budgets, and risks while ensuring projects remain on track and deliver on business goals.
• Market and Competitor Insights – Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and product enhancements.
• Design and Financial Oversight – Collaborate on material selection, ensure product quality, and manage lifecycle and financial targets for product categories.
• Customer feedback – participating in selected customer meetings and collecting valuable feedback for continuous improvement.

Your profile

A solid educational foundation in engineering or product development would be a good foundation in this role. Besides this, you have a strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, particularly in defining the vision for software development. You will bring expertise in market insights and competitive analysis within similar industries, enabling the identification of trends and opportunities to shape innovative product strategies.

We expect you have 5 years of experience in product development or product management roles that encompass both hardware and software development, specifically for consumer electronics, including Android and iOS platforms.

Your role will also involve delivering effective product training, utilizing a strong understanding of materials to ensure quality, and applying exceptional problem-solving skills to overcome challenges. High-level communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Given PanzerGlass's dynamic nature, you should be prepared for rapid and ongoing changes. We expect fluency in both written and spoken English.
