Job Description
Do you picture yourself building the future of e-commerce at the LEGO Group?
We’re on the lookout for a passionate full-stack (with a backend twist) Software Engineer to join our Commercial Content Optimization team in Copenhagen. If you’re excited by the idea of improving how we manage and optimize product content at a global scale, then we want you to help us bring that vision to life!
We see a huge opportunity to bring together all the editorial magic – layouts, approvals, SEO, and content tools – to create content variations that truly engage. You’ll be at the heart of this, collaborating with engineers, designers, users, and collaborators to make it all happen. A “let’s try it and learn” attitude and the ability to break big dreams into bite-sized tasks will help you and your team crush it!
Our team is experienced but full of energy, and the product is still young and full of potential. You’ll have plenty of space to influence and contribute your ideas.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
As a Software Engineer on our team, you’ll take the lead on developing Commercial Content Optimization while also diving into the broader world of Digital Assets and Creation Management. We value flexibility, so expect to contribute to both backend and frontend work – and even other exciting development projects.
Shape, develop, and maintain our content platform, Content Studio.
Partner with designers to understand user needs and transform their creative visions into real-world software.
Team up with fellow engineers to make sure our frontend and backend play nicely together, and connect seamlessly with other systems through APIs and backend services.
Be a mentor – help others on the team improve their engineering practices and build a solid foundation.
Ensure the LEGO Group's e-commerce content works when it hits the market.
Build reusable components and share your magic across other product teams with similar goals.
And of course - write some truly awesome code!
In this role, you’ll be key to transforming how we create, manage, and optimize content for e-commerce. You’ll be part of a collaborative, autonomous, and agile team that takes full ownership of its products. We don’t just work together; we learn from each other. Plus, as the product and business evolve, there will be opportunities to jump into new teams and new challenges.
At the LEGO Group, we’re all about trust and ownership – we believe in empowering teams to own their work and bring their ideas to life!
To succeed in this role, you already have some of the following:
Full-stack expertise, with a focus on backend.
Solid experience with TypeScript, Remix, and React (or similar frameworks), plus Postgres, MicroORM, and a pinch of SQL. If you’ve worked with AWS containers, S3, or SQS, even better!
Exposure to full-stack web development – you know the ins and outs of building robust web apps.
Collaboration skills – you work well with developers and designers alike.
A track record of building clean, maintainable code that lasts.
A curiosity to learn, grow, and share knowledge with the team.
Nice to have
Experience with technologies like micro-frontends, monorepos, headless CMS, and GitHub actions.
API design and specification experience.
Knowledge of accessibility standards, like WCAG AA.
A passion for exploring the latest web technologies, including ESNext/CSS features, faster build tooling, and innovative UI testing approaches.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
