The position
Are you a qualified technician within Marine, Fire Service, and thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on saving lives? If so, you might be the MFS Service Technician we are looking for to join our team in Dubai.

About the Position
Candidates should have working experience in a MFS workshop. Properly care for and maintain all company owned property including tools and instruments such as a Liquid level indicator, Compressor Test Unit, Service Uniforms, Service Safety Equipment and operate the company service vehicle in a professional and safe manner according to company policies

The right candidate must be experienced and able to conduct annual, 5 and 10 yearly inspections and maintenance on the below systems;

• CO2 fixed system
• Inspection and Calibration of portable and Fixed Gas Detection System
• Inspection and troubleshooting of addressable / conventional type fixed fire alarm system.
• UTI Tape, Pressure & Temp Calibrators
• Novec system
• FM200 system
• Fixed Dry powder
• Low & High Expansion Foam
• Water based system
• Fire extinguishers
• Breathing Air
• EEBD
• Medical System

Responsible for and ensure accurate record keeping during services using the official check lists

Responsible for reporting any failures of tools / equipment to the relevant Manager.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the MFS marine rules and be able to carry out surveys

Maintain accurate inventory requirements

Be competent in the appropriate disposal of waste as per Company procedures

Maintain accurate Service Manuals

Experience & Qualification

• Qualified technician with at least 3-4 years of technical experience.
• A team player
• Must have a positive, professional and helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers or any other stakeholders
• On board experience of various marine vessels: Oil tankers, LNG, Containers and other types of marine vessels.

Your Entry into the Position
The ideal candidate is familiar with Marine, Fire Service safety systems and has hands on experience in a similar role.

You must be a team player who will work consistently in a professional manner and thrive in an active environment where you can maintain focus on both tasks and deadlines.

Additionally, you should have:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
• Experience with SAP is preferred
