In Innovation Management, we actively drive the development of sustainable polymers and processes. Together with our partner, RWTH Aachen University, we operate the CAT Catalytic Center, where we work on pioneering catalytic processes for a circular economy. We are looking for you to join our team as an engaged leader of exciting development projects.
In addition to our diverse benefits, a full-time position offers an attractive starting compensation between €77,600.00 gross/year and €93,900.00 gross/year plus a variable component. The starting compensation will be determined based on your qualifications and professional experience.
Your Responsibilities
- In interdisciplinary project teams, you will develop innovative chemical building blocks, materials, and processes
- Technical, economic, and ecological assessment of new developments is conducted together with our Covestro experts
- You coordinate a team of up to 10 university staff members and lead them to project success
- For global technology transfer, you develop scalable formulations for the EMEA, APAC, and NAFTA regions
- Close collaboration with RWTH Aachen in the incubation of new technologies is one of your core responsibilities
- You actively support the protection of intellectual property through patents
- Systematic documentation and compelling presentation of research results complete your scope of duties
Your Profile
- You hold a PhD in Chemical Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry
- Your profile demonstrates proven experience in developing new processes and products
- Practical experience in project work with various cooperation partners distinguishes you
- You are familiar with the specifics of collaboration between industry and academia
- Your strong communication skills and empathetic leadership style convince in team settings
- A structured and independent working style with hands-on mentality comes natural to you
- Fluent communication in German and English completes your profile
