Responsibilities

• Independent planning, coordination, implementation, control and documentation of research and development tasks in interdisciplinary teams in close cooperation with internal and external partners
• Generation of ideas for and participation in the optimisation of existing and the development of new and innovative process concepts or products in the context of process development
• Situation-related analysis of varying problems by evaluating measurement results and identifying potential for improvement in technical processes
• Transfer of solutions to the technical scale and process engineering support for production plants
• Support in the further development of technical standards within the specialist group, in particular for unit operations in fluid process engineering and the necessary tools, methods and experimental test plants
• Project-related stakeholder management and conducting project reviews to continuously improve project work
  
  

Requirements

• Completed engineering studies with a master's degree, ideally a doctorate (PhD) in chemical engineering or a comparable field
• Expertise in the field of extraction, in particular a command of the technical-theoretical interrelationships as well as knowledge of the state of the art and current developments
• High level of innovation and strong analytical skills
• Project management skills from project initiation to project design and execution
• Knowledge of common software tools (e.g. ASPEN, CONVAL, Python)
• Willingness to travel internationally (20-30% per year)
• Excellent communication skills across hierarchical levels, coupled with very good knowledge of German and English
• High level of teamwork, flexibility and initiative
