Freelance Quality Manager

Length of Contract: 12 months

Rate of Pay: DOE

Location: Near Hamburg

My client is looking for a German-speaking Freelance Quality Manager to join in an end-to-end project on a local onshore wind farm project with client who is construction a new platform. This will include the commissioning phase, and it will be a 12-month project with the potential for extension if there are delays.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of quality and safety inspectors, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Lead quality inspections of the installation of the platforms, turbines and bases of the project.
• Regular meetings with the other sub-contractors and end client to discuss quality assessments.
• Monitor project progress and assist in mitigating schedule deviations.
• Coordinate with grid operators, transmission providers, and interconnection contractors.
• Develop and deliver high-quality project QAQC documentation.
• Activity onsite would depend on the stages of the project.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of experience in renewable energy construction (offshore wind preferred).
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and strong teamwork abilities.
• Strong ability to speak German (B2 minimum)
