The Honeywell UOP Business Development Manager for Germany will be responsible for the Honeywell UOP business in Germany (including the Sustainability Technology Solutions) with specific focus on growing Honeywell UOP’s business through business development. The Business Development Manager will serve as primary point-of-contact for Honeywell UOP in Germany including customers, local government, industry and internal Honeywell stakeholders. This position will require high-energy; a strategic mindset; ability to balance medium term strategic objectives with delivering short term results; ability to build relationships with customers and to work across the matrix with internal stakeholders and get the best from a rapidly growing organization. The Business Development Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Planning (EATCA), with a matrix reporting line to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Germany. The Business Development Manager is expected to have a sound technical and business knowledge of the Oil & Gas market, Energy Transition and Sustainability technologies including carbon capture and green/blue Hydrogen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the strategic plan (STRAP) and annual operating plan (AOP) for Germany.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve AOP and grow the business.
  • Strategic account management in Germany and build close relationships with senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement a business strategy focused on key market areas and growth fields, including energy transition and hydrogen.
  • Own and maintain the business forecast for Germany.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to enhance product margins.
  • Grow the service business through increased sales of service offerings.

Qualifications

  • BEng or MEng degree in a relevant field (preferably Chemical Engineering) with an MBA as an additional qualification.
  • Over 10 years of experience in general management, business development, or sales.
  • Leadership experience in a global organization.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • High business acumen with a focus on customer value and results orientation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
