Your Tasks

• You create a benchmark for the current global technical status of hybrid drives in the passenger car sector.
• You will analyze the market environment for hybrid and electric drives with a focus on the key markets of China and the USA.
• You derive technical requirements from future regulatory framework conditions and legal requirements.
• You analyze the technological trends for electric drives and combustion engines.
• You qualitatively compare the costs of current and future hybrid drive concepts.
• You will derive target-oriented technical and cost-related measures for the market-oriented further development of hybrid drives.
• As part of your thesis, you will deal with the topic of market and technology research.
  
  

Necessary Skills

• Ongoing studies in drive technology, automotive engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar STEM engineering courses
• Basic knowledge of the functioning and design of electric and combustion engines, power electronics and vehicle architectures.
• Systematic and independent way of working, good basic technical knowledge and a high level of commitment and creativity
• Interest in challenging development tasks
• Good knowledge of German and English to at least B2 level
  
  

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of a CAD program (preferably Catia or Creo) and Matlab/Python
• Proactive and creative approach
• Basic knowledge of the use of artificial intelligence
• Ability to abstract and present complex issues in a compact form
