Job Title: Regional Sales Manager Foodservice - DACH
Overview:
As the Regional Sales Manager for Foodservice in the DACH region, you'll drive sales of Meat & Meat alternative products across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Your expertise will shape partnerships with key accounts and distributors, ensuring we meet our ambitious sales and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the local cluster.
- Sales Management:
- Achieve annual volume sales and profit targets within designated regions.
- Forecast and plan business activities to deliver budgeted outcomes.
- Market Insights:
- Gather insights to define local needs for new product development (NPD).
- Business Development:
- Identify and lead opportunities in foodservice and industrial sectors.
- Create annual customer business plans in collaboration with Marketing.
- Trade Promotions:
- Manage and monitor trade promotions for maximum impact.
- Oversee broker/distributor sales execution and scorecard performance.
- Relationship Building:
- Cultivate relationships with regional contacts and key accounts.
- Negotiate annual collaboration plans with local key accounts and wholesalers.
- Partnership Initiatives:
- Develop local partnership programs in collaboration with Marketing.
- Initiate concepts with manufacturers to introduce to key accounts.
- Event Participation:
- Attend key customer events and foodservice trade shows.
- Data-Driven Decisions:
- Leverage data and sales reports to implement positive changes.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5 years in foodservice sales with account management experience.
- Background in food service distribution, brokerage, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Education:
- Four-year degree in Business or related industry experience.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Languages:
- Native/fluent German; professional/conversational English. Additional European languages are advantageous.
- Other Qualifications:
- Experience with value-added protein sales preferred.
- Previous selling experience to key accounts at various organizational levels.
- Culinary training or background as a chef is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Remote position with travel required 30-40% of the time.
