Senior Insurance Risk Strategist

We are partnering with a leading global organisation in the design and engineering sector, to recruit a Senior Insurance Risk Strategist.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing risk compliance related to insurance claims and contract clauses on an international scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationships with external insurance brokers, ensuring their approaches are in line with the company’s overarching global insurance strategy.
• Provide strategic analysis and recommendations on insurance-related contractual terms, ensuring they adhere to the company’s Global Risk Policy and compliance standards.
• Optimise the global insurance framework, ensuring consistent and thorough coverage is applied across all business areas, departments, and international operations.
• Oversee the handling of insurance claims across multiple sectors, ensuring they are processed with accuracy and within agreed timeframes.
• Work closely with project teams to incorporate insurance and risk considerations into project planning and execution, ensuring risk mitigation is embedded within all initiatives.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• A completed apprenticeship as an insurance clerk or equivalent professional qualifications are required.
• Additional educational training as an insurance specialist or a degree in business administration is highly desirable.
• Over 3 years of experience within the insurance sector, particularly in industrial insurance.
• Strong expertise in managing international insurance programmes, especially in the areas of liability and engineering.
• A deep understanding of both the technical and legal elements related to industrial insurance, allowing for the effective resolution of complex issues.
• Fluency in both English and German (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication within a global context.
