The MIKUTA brand was founded in Berlin by Jacqueline Mikuta and Klemens White, starting in 2017 with a small jewellery line, which later expanded to clothing in 2019. MIKUTA is a young, wild & free-inspired fashion brand for modern women with a glimpse of rock’n’roll. MIKUTA is currently one of the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer brands in the fashion market.

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal. We are currently working with Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Collection cycles and soon grow to a product portfolio of more than 150 products.

About The Job

We’re expanding rapidly, and to support our financial operations, we’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. This role will be key in managing our accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting the transition to in-house accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle preparatory accounting tasks in Moss, including booking incoming invoices and credit cards, and writing outgoing invoices for B2B clients
• Lead the transition to in-house accounting using Datev
• Act as the primary contact person for the tax office, VAT provider, and travel management provider
• Provide support with payroll processes
• Serve as the go-to contact for colleagues regarding invoices, credit cards, and travel management inquiries
• Ensure accurate and timely account declarations with the tax office
  
  

About You

• Background in in-house accounting or prior experience at a tax office
• At least 3-4 years of experience in German accounting & experience in account posting
• Proficiency in using Datev Rechnungswesen
• Experience in payroll accounting is a plus
• Experience in an e-commerce or commercial products environment is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
