Senior Finance Accountant - Berlin

One of the fastest growing Energy companies is looking for their next Senior Financial Accountant to play an integral role in the growth and development of a global finance function, contributing to a fast-scaling organization. Based in Berlin, the position supports both office-based and hybrid working arrangements. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Senior Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis, cash forecasts, and statutory tax filings.
• Develop and enforce local accounting policies in alignment with group standards.
• Manage and improve end-to-end accounting processes, invoice approvals, travel expenses, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support ERP migration to NetSuite and automation of finance tools and processes.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities; communicate effectively across teams and regions.

Senior Financial Accountant Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant (Germany or equivalent) with deep HGB and IFRS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in fast-growing, international companies; energy/startup background is a bonus.
• Process-driven mindset with a passion for automation and improvement.
• Proficient in Datev, NetSuite is ideal
• German (B2 ) and C2 in English; other languages are a plus.
• A true team player with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
