Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Automotive Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic development team in the vehicle industry. The primary focus will be on the design, optimization, and validation of thermal systems, particularly cooling circuits and brake cooling for electric vehicles .
1. Develop and dimension cooling circuits (liquid and air cooling) for electric vehicles .
2. Design and analyze brake cooling systems to effectively prevent overheating and performance loss.
3. Implement simulation tools (e.g., AMESim, GT-Suite) for thermal calculations and validation.
4. Coordinate testing in wind tunnels or on test benches for thermal system performance.
5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (electric powertrain, chassis, electronics) to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
6. Optimize energy consumption, heat dissipation, and trade-offs between performance and compactness.
7. Stay updated on the latest technologies and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years in the automotive industry, with a focus on thermal systems, cooling circuit design, and brake cooling for electric vehicles .
2. In-depth understanding of thermal fluid systems, heat transfer, and dissipation principles.
3. Hands-on experience in designing and analyzing complex cooling circuits for electric vehicle components , transmissions, and brakes.
4. Knowledge of brake cooling technologies (e.g., flow concepts, material selection).
5. Proficiency in AMESim and GT-Suite for thermal and fluid dynamics simulations.
6. Experience with 1D simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink).
7. Familiarity with test automation and measurement equipment (e.g., infrared thermography, flow meters).
