Key result responsibility / Objectives
Lead and manage the assigned design & engineering team in new building and/or modernization projects. Project progress reporting to Project Manager. Manage and follow-up projects quality, budget and schedule. Manage and follow-up contracts with design subcontractors. Create engineering execution plan and scope of work description in sales and project execution phases. Monitor production of design and engineering documents for the project. Attend technical meetings with Yard, Owner, Class and provide technical support to Sales. Organize regular project design control & follow up meetings and design reviews. Participate in start-up, project and final close-out meetings. Follow-up project change orders. Act as technical support to all relevant internal parties during the life of the contract and for guarantee matters. Support factory inspection and quality control (material quality, product type) when applicable. Support Research & Development matters (new concepts, cost saving programs, technical awareness). Follow the Company Quality System and participate to the continuous improvement of Quality. Competencies required
Project management skills. Skills in scheduling, delegating and organizing. Minimum 10 years of experience from ship building/offshore industry. Knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations. Open minded, active and able to take initiative, while working in a fast-paced, international environment. Fluent spoken and written English. MS Office, AutoCad / Design tools.
