(Senior) Design Engineer, Backend Software

We are now seeking a Backend developer. As a Backend developer you will design, develop and test backend software to Treon Connect and other cloud products. You work in project teams that include professionals of multiple areas. To succeed you need to work closely together and support each other.

Qualifications and skills

Degree in software engineering or equivalent diploma
Experience in Backend software development
Backend development skills

• Backend Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python and Rust.
• Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge on Micro Services

Understanding how to containerize applications using Docker, including creating Docker files and managing Docker images.
Understanding the core components of Kubernetes.
Ability to design and consume RESTful APIs.
Experience in software version control (e.g. GIT)
Experience in CI/CD
Experience in Linux servers, virtual machines and networking
Ability to work with remote teams and other team members
Strong problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
Good spoken and written English

Key tasks

Design, develop, and maintain software systems
Collaborate with team members to understand system requirements
Contribute to system architecture work, give input to select appropriate technologies, and define software components and modules
Develop the server-side logic and database components of the application.
Design and optimize databases, write complex queries, ensure data integrity, and implement data migration strategies.
Manage and develop Treon's server/network environments including cyber security aspects
Conduct unit testing, participate in integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
Troubleshooting issues, and fixing bugs to ensure the software runs smoothly.
