(Senior) Test Engineer

We are now seeking a (Senior) Test Engineer to help develop our product validation and system testing to ensure our product quality even further. In this role you will be involved in different projects, clarifying and interpreting product documentation, use cases and requirements into a test design, and also taking action to implement those tests for our embedded products and software solutions. You work and drive these activities in project teams that include professionals of multiple areas. To succeed you need to work closely together and support each other.

You are a (Senior) Test Engineer - or Test Manager with hands-on capability - with systematic and analytical approach to testing and passion for driving new initiatives and efforts. You are self-directed and curious team player with quality-oriented mindset and good attention to details. You take ownership and challenge the current way to constantly develop our working methods. You are highly motivated to drive new things, and always wiling to learn something new, while keeping up with current and future trends and technologies.

Qualifications and skills

• B.Sc or M.Sc in information technology, computer science or other relevant degree
• Proven experience as a test engineer, test manager, test automation engineer, or similar role
• Systematic and bold approach to testing and test management, ability to prioritize tasks and thrive to provide results
• Ability to document and report test results clearly and concisely
• Hands on experience and thorough knowledge of test methodologies of both manual and automated testing, test planning and design, test management and issue reporting
• Proficiency in Linux, Python and shell scripting, and some applicable test automation framework (e.g. Robot Framework)
• Undestanding of IoT protocols (e.g. MQTT and HTTP) and familiarity with cloud services such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT
• Strong analytical thinking to understand system architectures and interdependencies, and troubleshoot effectively
• Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal
• Experience of operating with embedded devices, understanding of HW is a plus

Key tasks

• Drive and improve, and impact our overall product quality in Cross-Team level
• Plan, design, develop and maintain system tests, system tests, and test environments for new or existing products
• Create test plans and test execution schedules and make sure results are available on time
• Participate in test automation development and test execution as per needed, or together with the team
• Maintain possible issues within own area, ensure that all findings are reported and followed up
• Document test results and present those to the stakeholders
• Communicate with development and project management teams to ensure that system tests are up to date and have sufficient coverage and quality
• Take role in improving project quality standards and procedures together with the team
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in system testing
