International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a:
Airport ID Office Manager
Role responsibilities:
Participates in developing and implementing essential Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and guidelines for AID Office operations.
Collaborates closely with the Director of the Security Operations Unit, staff members, other operational departments, and stakeholders
Serves as the primary point of contact between the AID Office, the police, and HCAA for day-to-day issues related to the AID Office
Evaluates the efficiency of the AID card issuance system and identify any gaps or issues that may impact operations.
Assesses potential threats and risks and assists in preparing and implementing necessary mitigation measures to ensure smooth operations.
Provides regular updates to the SEC Unit on the progress and readiness of the AID Office's work
Collaborates with the ICT to ensure all systems meet the design requirements and specifications, function correctly, and comply with Hellenic and international Civil Aviation Regulations.
Ensures all systems and AID Office staff are prepared for the operational launch.
Supports the procurement process for all necessary operational equipment, consumables, and services, ensuring timely delivery and installation
Assists the "Training and Audit Manager" in overseeing training for all relevant stakeholders, including airport staff, contractors, and service providers, as per the provisions of the National Civil Aviation Training Program
Assists the SEC Unit in selecting and managing service providers to ensure that contracts are established, and the agreed service levels are met
Develops operational plans for the AID Office in coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resources are available and deployed to meet demand and maintain service quality standards.
Oversees budgetary and financial management for AID Office operations
Manages AID Office staff, ensuring they are adequately trained and motivated to deliver high-quality services to the industry.
Ensures all staff adhere to health, safety, and security.
Fosters a strong customer service culture, providing ongoing training and feedback to staff members
Ensures all systems and processes comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and standards.
Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance
Requirements:
Post-secondary education would be preferred
An undergraduate and/or bachelor's degree will be considered an asset
10 years of experience in airport or terminal management, focusing on operational readiness and project management, and at least five years of experience as an AID Office Manager or Security Duty Supervisor (SDS).
Certified as a "Security Manager" by the HCAA, fulfilling the Hellenic Civil Aviation Training Program requirements
Auditing experience will be highly valued
Strong knowledge of airport operations, including security, safety, customer service, and regulatory compliance. Experience in ORAT will be highly evaluated
Fluency in the Greek and English language
