Overview

Are you someone who thrives on making things run smoothly, loves solving problems, and enjoys supporting others? If so, this could be just the role for you.

We’re looking for an HR Operations Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative team here at OpenBet. This is a key role in our People function, where you'll support the full employee lifecycle and help deliver a consistent, people-focused experience across our global teams.

You’ll be part of a close-knit HR Operations team, working alongside colleagues across the globe, and reporting into our Head of HR Operations. It’s a brilliant opportunity to build trusted relationships, support our people, and contribute to impactful work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the detail right, and is happy juggling multiple tasks. From HR systems and contracts to onboarding, payroll, and projects, you'll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

Manage key employee milestones, from new joiners through to leavers, ensuring timely and accurate updates in our HR systems.

Employee Queries

Be the go-to person for HR-related questions, offering timely, clear, and supportive responses to employees.

Payroll Preparation

Prepare monthly payroll inputs for Greece, including joiners, leavers, overtime, on-call payments, and other relevant updates.

Absence Management

Track and report on employee absences, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate system records.

Benefits Administration

Support benefit enrolments and updates, and partner with vendors to ensure employees have access to the right support.

Documentation

Draft and issue contracts and employee lifecycle paperwork via DocuSign, maintaining accurate and complete records.

Pre-employment Checks

Coordinate pre-employment screening and proactively address any issues to support a smooth hiring process.

Onboarding

Work closely with our support teams to deliver a welcoming and consistent onboarding experience for new joiners.

Data Integrity

Maintain accurate HRIS data, performing regular audits to ensure quality and consistency.

Invoice Processing

Support occasional invoice processing for HR-related costs, helping to ensure smooth financial tracking.

Ad-hoc Projects

Get involved in a variety of projects, such as helping develop process automation, AI development for HR, data audits, and employee experience initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

You’re organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, someone who gets things done and takes pride in doing them well. You’re a strong communicator, naturally collaborative, and always happy to lend a hand. You’re comfortable with HR systems and thrive in environments where no two days are the same.

If you can tick off a good number of the points below, we’d love to hear from you:

  • A degree in HR (or working towards one) with 3 years' HR operations experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator with a clear, engaging, and coaching style
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to prioritise
  • Comfortable using HR systems (Workday a plus) and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A team player who’s proactive, solutions-focused, and collaborates well with others
  • Solid understanding of Greece and UK HR practices; global knowledge is a bonus (especially US, Canada, Ukraine, Singapore, or Australia)
  • High personal standards and a conscientious approach to delivering work on time and to a high quality

Benefits

  • Competitive benefits package
  • Open and supportive work environment
  • Career development opportunities within OpenBet
  • Flexible working arrangements (hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days in the office)
