The Goal

We are seeking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our ML/AI Team within the Data Science Department as a Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing sports betting forecasting models and data-driven solutions to enhance the betting experience of players. The role is based in Athens, Greece.

What you’ll be doing

· Work closely with senior team members to translate business needs into technical solutions.

· Analyse and process data from our data repositories to extract actionable insights.

· Develop, evaluate and document state-of-the-art machine learning models tailored to betting markets.

· Implement, test and document automated model pipelines using coding best practices.

· Build, extend, and maintain MLOps infrastructure to enable efficient and scalable machine learning operations

· Develop automated model monitoring and retraining workflows to ensure robustness and accuracy over time.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.

· Effectively convey the key principles and components underlying our models to stakeholders.

The Player

What you’ll bring

· An advanced degree (Postgraduate/Master’s/PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline.

· A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a relevant role (or 1 years of experience alongside a PhD).

· Strong expertise in advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., Neural Networks, Random Forests, Support Vector Machines).

· Knowledge of probabilistic modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, Time-Series Analysis etc.)

· Proficiency in Python (including frameworks like NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch) and SQL; familiarity with best OOP practices and ML pipeline automation.

· Hands-on experience productionizing machine learning solutions for real-world applications.

Nice to Haves

· Experience in MLOps, model deployment and CI/CD for ML workflows.

· Experience with cloud services (one of AWS, Azure cloud, GCP).

· Understanding of sports betting markets and related concepts.

· Familiarity with programming languages such as C# and Java.

· Experience working with Big Data tools such as Apache Spark.
