Senior Vessels IT Officer

Technomar Shipping Inc. is looking for a Senior Vessels IT Officer to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure across our fleet.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Vessels IT Officer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the IT systems onboard our vessels. This includes satellite communication systems, navigation software, onboard networks, and cybersecurity protocols. You will work closely with the technical and operations departments to ensure seamless IT performance at sea.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth operation of all IT systems onboard vessels
• Manage and troubleshoot satellite communication and navigation systems
• Oversee cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with IT standards
• Provide remote and on-site support for hardware and software issues
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and onboard personnel to resolve technical challenges
  
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• 5 years of IT experience, preferably in the maritime industry
• Strong knowledge of vessel IT systems, satellite communications, and marine IT infrastructure
• Hands-on experience in hardware, software, and remote troubleshooting
