Transport Planner

Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Gyongyosshalaz or Gyor, Hungary
Reports to (Position): Manager - FGS (Gyongyoshalasz)
Department/Function: Logistics

Purpose of the Job: As our Transport Planner, you will be responsible for carrying out the coordination, problem solving and administrative activities needed to deliver the tyres to Customers, and to Apollo Warehouses - on time, and on the possible most effective way. You also need to ensure customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and smooth operation in transportation and delivery services. Should any issue arises, it is important that you provide the information to internal customers, warehouse 3PLs and the carriers as soon as possible, to mitigate business risks. Last but not least, you are also in charge of creating reporting and data sharing needed for Management, for Internal Customers and for performance monitoring.

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitor Delivery notes, and build-up Shipments
• Monitor Delivery slots and schedule shipments
• Allocate shipments and book Carriers or Forwarders
• Avoid influence attempts and violations from Carriers
• Loading plan and coordination with Warehouses
• Follow-up and coordination until delivery
• Monitor transport completion actual vs. the plan, and impose penalties whenever needed
• Review Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, and approve the shipments for invoicing
• Import and export documentation handling
• Ensure fulfillment of Customer and Country specific requirements
• Reporting and information sharing to relevant stakeholders
• Carrier and Forwarder performance monitoring
• Monitor IT systems used, and act in case of abnormality

Requirements:

• High school diploma and similar education in the area of Logistics
• Good at Microsoft O365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook) and communication channels (email, phone, SMS, Microsoft Teams)
• Enjoy working in a strictly standardized environment
• High level of accuracy and reliability. Can work independently
• Strong in problem solving and teamwork
• Basic knowledge about ISO 9001, IATF, and VDA 6.3 standards
• Basic knowledge about usual automotive requirements and processes
• Basic understanding about warehousing and transportation practices
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of Hungarian language is an advantage
