We are currently seeking to fill Mechanical Technician role in our company.

Job Specification

· Ability and aptitude to work in a fast-paced environment

· Drive to ensure production efficiency is maximized and problem-solving thinking to return production to full capacity promptly after an issue is identified.

· Work independently or within teams on continuous improvement initiatives or on installation of new parts/equipment.

· Excellent communication skills to ensure effective knowledge transfer between shifts and other teams to ensure problems are escalated correctly and efficiently.

· Willingness to follow strict guidelines as given by the machine manufacture.

Job Duties

· Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean working environment and carrying out work in a safe manner

· Troubleshoot, diagnostics and repair of production equipment

· Perform root causes analysis of problems and suggest process improvements

· Maintain systems for spare parts stock and ensure system is being correctly utilized

· Deliver continuous improvement activities by developing equipment setup practices and troubleshooting guides for operators and/or skilled craft, Improving documented maintenance practices and records

· Ensure that all breakdowns are documented and recorded in our system

· Carry out Preventative Maintenance work as required by PM schedules and suggest improvements

· Responsible as part of a bigger team for ensuring that all production & maintenance KPI's are achieved

· Flexible working hours to meet production or maintenance deadlines; make yourself available for overtime as and when required

Additional Requirements

· A good interpersonal and communication skills

· Good oral and written English

· Excellent attention to detail

· Good work ethic. Complete all tasks in accordance with instructions provided by a supervisor or manager

· To be courteous and respectful ensuring good relations with all staff members

· Availability to work 3 way rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights)
