What is the role?
The person in this role is responsible for designing, developing, and testing Aerosol Drug Delivery Products. They will also be responsible for specifying/designing, developing, and testing the equipment and processes to manufacture these products. Furthermore, the person in this position is responsible for documenting these activities per the company's product and process development procedures.
What are the key responsibilities?
As part of the Mechanical Design Engineering team, working on product design & development projects related to new and existing products.
- Support projects and project teams in general activities related to ongoing product design & development.
- Responsible for design, development, build and testing of products.
- Responsible for specifying/designing, developing and testing the equipment and processes to manufacture and test these products.
- Responsible for documenting project activities per the company's product and process development procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting concise technical reports.
- Effective liaison with, and support of, other in-house departments as necessary.
- Other activities as directed by their Supervisor.
What key skills will make you great at the role?
- Expertise with 3D Modelling & 2D Drawing software such as Solidworks.
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Expertise in multi-component tolerance analysis.
- Proven experience in Plastic Part Design.
- Experience developing Design Verification Test methods and qualifying same.
- Knowledge of CFD & FEA Simulation software such as Ansys.
- Experience in the Medical Device area would be an advantage
