Our client, a leading engineering company, are looking for a Workshop Foreman to add to their growing team. €24-€28hr depending on experience.
Position Overview: As the Metal Workshop Foreman, you will oversee daily operations, manage a team of skilled tradespeople, and ensure the quality and efficiency of all projects. Your role will involve supervising workflows, maintaining safety standards, and supporting team members to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise workshop staff, including welders, fabricators, and machinists.
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor project timelines to meet production goals.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and client specifications.
Maintain and enforce workplace safety standards.
Train, mentor, and support team members.
Communicate effectively with management and other departments to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular equipment inspections and oversee maintenance.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
Proficiency with various metalworking techniques (e.g., welding, cutting, machining).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings and blueprints.
