ON CALL MECHANIC WANTED

30 hours work 40 hours pay

Are you a skilled mechanic looking for flexible hours and excellent pay?

We are looking for a reliable on-call mechanic to join our team covering the Leinster area. Responding to call outs/breakdowns only.

Work hours: 30 hours a week 5 p.m. - 11.00 p.m.

Pay: full time pay (40 hours based on a 30 hour week)

Key Responsibilities:

Responding to on-call maintenance and repair needs

Performing diagnostics, repairs, and general maintenance on various vehicles

• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to determine the condition of different parts, from engines to exhaust systems.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet or exceed regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and potential repairs.

Qualifications:

Relevant certification in vehicle mechanics or a related field.

Proven experience as a HGV light commercial vehicle mechanic.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of HGV/light commercial vehicles.

Valid driving license and a clean driving record.

Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
