Service Manager required for a busy Toyota Franchise in Ennis, Co. Clare
Cummins Car Centre is Clare’s Toyota Main Dealer. We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Service Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our service department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a franchise dealership selling the #1 brand in the Irish market for the last 4 yearsThis is a hands-on role ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability within the Service Department are achieved. You will also be responsible for maintaining Toyota brand standards and promoting a high-performance culture.
The day to day
Oversee and manage all operations within the service department, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
Drive exceptional customer service, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty through timely, high-quality vehicle service.
Monitor department performance and implement strategies to achieve service revenue targets and KPIs.
Process Warranty claims.
Ensure compliance with all Toyota standards, warranty procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.
Manage service workflow, technician efficiency, parts availability, and job prioritization.
Train and develop service staff to maintain a knowledgeable and motivated team.
Work closely with Parts, Sales, and Administration departments to support cross-functional collaboration.
Handle customer concerns or complaints with professionalism, ensuring swift resolution.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Toyota technical bulletins, recalls, and service campaigns.
Control department expenses and contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Performance meetings with Management
Principal Requirements
Proven experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Controller, or Senior Service Advisor in a franchise dealership environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle service and repair processes.
Excellent communication and customer handling skills.
Confident in using various computer packages daily.
Proficiency with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Keyloop, Kerridge, a distinct advantage).
Clean driving license
