Job Description
daa require both Fixed Term Contract and Permanent experienced Senior Planners to work within AMD in the dynamic environment of Dublin Airport. The broad purpose of the role is to support the wider development objectives of both Dublin and Cork Airports through ensuring appropriate policy and development consents for these activities in the area of planning.
Responsibilities
Possess and maintain an up-to-date, excellent knowledge of all planning and relevant environmental legislation to ensure accurate advice is provided to clients in order to strategically steer daa towards the delivery of its goals. Delivering appropriate planning consents for daa. Work closely with the amd team, Dublin Airport clients and various stakeholders to build and maintain stakeholder alignment and support for clients. Provide strategic advice for safeguarding of airport operations, and facilitate growth and development including input to and review of planning policy and frameworks Provide expert development management advice in relation to proposed airport projects To manage planning issues around airport safeguarding and the project delivery plan. To engage with planning bodies as may be required, including through written submissions. To work as part of a team, including through the flexible allocation of work as it arises.
Qualifications
Experience working in a local authority, consultancy, environment or transportation/aviation environment with demonstrated success would be advantageous. Experience of Environmental Assessment, both at strategic and project level Demonstrable ability to self-manage a portfolio of varied work against tight deadlines. Ability to manage client and design teams to ensure delivery of output to tight deadlines. Excellent technical knowledge of the Irish statutory planning system and of European Directives as they pertain to the Irish planning system Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and direct professional colleagues and key stakeholders. Excellent standards of delivery. Ability to cultivate solutions and resilience for challenging deliverables. High level of report writing skills and good presentational skills Third level primary qualification in associated field; and Third level post-primary qualification in town planning, or Third level primary qualification in town planning Accreditation to professional institute is desirable Committed to daa values
