Position: Playgroup Supervisor

 

 

Duties of the role:

To lead and be responsible for the day to day organisation of the After School provision, providing high standards of care and play opportunities for 90  children daily between the ages of 4-12 years old in a safe and secure environment
Managing bookings and attendance/capacity for an extremely large and busy service
To lead and motivate a team of 12-13 staff to deliver high quality creative play opportunities and to promote a positive team environment conducive to creating a homely, nurturing, and safe environment for the children in our care.
Liaise with parents with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club and to encourage parental involvement and support of the After School Club
Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in working with children
Supervisory/Management experience required
Child Protection training an advantage
QQI Level 6 in Childcare / Early Years Education / Montessori Education and advantage
First Aid Certificate an advantage
Experience running a SAC service managing a large group of 90  children and delegating to 12  staff is essential
Candidate must have experience with and be familiar with the Educate Together Schools Ethos
Own transport is required and flexibility to work and commute to work in any one of our 8 of our services across Cork City & County if required will be necessary
Successful Candidate must be extremely driven, passionate and knowledgeable about the childcare industry and have an in depth knowledge of Tusla Requirements and needs whilst working in a School Aged Childcare Setting.
Annual Salary €34.000

Working Hours: 39 hours in total per week. Breakfast Club runs from 7am-8:45am, After School 12:30pm-6:15pm. Non Contact Work may be required outside of Breakfast Club & After School Club also.
