Environmental Health and Safety Officer

We require an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Officer to manage all aspects of our EHS policies, requirements and obligations across multiple sites and projects.

Location: Cork or Dublin

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Implementation of company EHS management system
• Generating & maintaining EHS policy documents
• Ensuring all internal EHS documents and procedures and in line with current Irish and European legislation.
• Provide internal EHS training
• Preparing for and managing of safety audits (internal and external)
• Review and approval of RAMS for all site based engineering works (direct works and sub-contract works)
• Ensure all EHS documentation is in place from sub-contractors and is in compliance with company requirements, client specific requirements and relevant legislation.
• Carry out site based risk assessments of project works as required.
• Carry out weekly site visits to do routine inspections of onsite project works
• Submit routine safety inspection reports to clients
• Management of company PPE policies and ensuring compliance
• Deliver tool box talks as required
• Ensure all lifting equipment, WAH equipment is routinely inspected and certified in accordance with HSA & individual site standards.
• Submit weekly EHS reports to upper management
• Review & maintain MSDS database for all company engineering activities as applicable.
• Input to design risk assessments
• Input to project specific HAZOP / HAZID
• Waste Management policy
• CSR team lead

Education/Experience

• A minimum 3-years experience in EHS role
• 3rd Level Qualification in EHS or related.

• Ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to Problem Solve and Deal with Ambiguity
• Proficient in technical report writing
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
• Full driving license, own transport essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €40,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
