General Farm Operative

This 400 cow farm is operating to the highest standards and is on a constant path of improving all the metrics associated with a successful commercial dairying operation. Located in the beautiful Innisshannon area of Cork there is easy access to the metropolitan area or the delights of West Cork if desired.

The Role:

Seeking a team member to join the existing group mainly concentrating on machinery operations with the occasional milking .This is a serious position within a highly focused family based set up. It demands dedication , commitment and the ability to flourish in team environment.

The Applicant:

Must be an experience milker and have an interest in dairy farming.

Good machinery experience essential. We are seeking an all rounder who is equally happy feeding (with diet feeder and loader), spreading slurry or fertiliser or working in the milking parlour. A successful applicant will have a full licence and will be able to demonstrate competence in handling the machinery operations mentioned above. As this is a high paced working environment the ability to communicate effectively in English is essential.

Accommodation:

There is shared accommodation available sharing with another member of farm staff in a mobile home on the farm.
